Dr. Riccardo Tersigni has over 13 years of experience as a practicing Chiropractor and Clinic Director in the Washington D.C. region. He was the Chiropractor for the Washington Redskins and Washington Wizards cheer-leading squads and was a Clinical Instructor at the George Mason University Department of Athletic Training. before relocating to Miami in 2018. Originally hailing from Toronto, Canada, he first attended York University where he obtained a bachelors’ degree in Kinesiology and Health Science.
Wanting to truly make a difference in people’s lives, he went on to further his healthcare education by obtaining his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Dr. Tersigni’s passion for providing great healthcare begins with patient education and empowering people to improve the quality of their lives.
He utilizes the most current evidence-based medicine to individually design treatment and rehabilitation programs for each patient based on a functional, total body approach. By combining chiropractic adjustments, physical therapy modalities and exercise, he creates plans designed to effectively decrease pain, enhance recovery and improve performance.
He specializes in sports and recreational injuries and incorporates myofascial release, Graston technique, Kinesio-taping, as well as, stretching and strengthening to address the root cause of a patient’s problem. This allows patients to recover in the fastest possible time frame with long-lasting, functional results.
Dr. Tersigni has been a media guest and contributor to the local television affiliates of NBC and FOX, and has been asked to speak at numerous government and private organizations. He has also volunteered his time and expertise to various charitable causes in the region such as the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Team in Training Program, D.C. Scores and Back on My Feet.
In his spare time, Dr. Tersigni enjoys taking in all the wonderful sights and activities of the Miami region, as well as, running, skiing and following European soccer.
Dr. Tersigni is currently the Clinic Director at the Aventura office at USA Sports Therapy.
